Welcome

Welcome to the South Portland High School guidance web page.  It is our hope that you will find this information timely and useful throughout your high school years.  We are committed to helping all SPHS students achieve their academic and post-secondary goals.  Towards that end, we serve students in a number of ways.  We meet individually and in small groups with students to select classes that best meet their needs; we help students identify the skills and resources to help them achieve academic progress;   we assist with the college and financial aid process, and we work with students making other post-secondary plans including work, military and other career training programs.  It is our intention that every student develops a realistic and meaningful plan that they can pursue upon graduation.

The links to your left  provide resources that help make the process of post-secondary planning logical, understandable and stress free.  You may contact us at any time by phone (767-7706), e-mail, or in person by appointment.
